Syeda Hussaini is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University, with an expected graduation in May 2026. With a solid foundation in Human Development and Childhood Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she earned her first Master’s degree, Syeda brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to helping families and individuals navigate their mental health and relational challenges.
Syeda’s therapeutic approach is systemic, emphasizing the importance of understanding the intricate dynamics within family systems and the pivotal relationships that clients navigate daily. She believes that a therapeutic relationship should be grounded in authenticity, collaboration, and a secure, supportive space for clients.
Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), existential therapy, narrative approaches, and solution-focused techniques, Syeda focuses on harnessing clients’ strengths and resilience. Her goal is to empower clients to develop adaptive strategies and habits that enhance their ability to manage life’s challenges, leading to richer, more fulfilling lives.
Syeda has extensive experience as a QMHP-CS Wraparound Care Coordinator, providing trauma-informed, strengths-based care to youth and families. She has worked with diverse populations, delivering comprehensive mental health services, building supportive teams, and developing customized care plans.
Her dedication to mental health extends beyond her professional roles. As a community service leader, Syeda has organized language exchange programs, cultural fairs, and support groups to aid social integration for refugees and immigrants. She has also facilitated grief support meetings for children and provided immediate mental health support as a Mental Health Navigator.
In addition to her professional qualifications, Syeda holds a degree in theology and philosophy, and she speaks Hindi, Urdu, primary level Persian, and Punjabi. Her diverse linguistic skills enhance her ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds.
Syeda’s philosophy is deeply inspired by Socrates, embodying the belief that true wisdom comes from self-reflection and understanding one’s own limitations. She strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel encouraged to explore their own thoughts and beliefs, fostering growth and self-awareness.
Outside of her professional life, Syeda enjoys boxing, Muay Thai, playing racquetball, music, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, believing that personal well-being is the cornerstone of professional excellence.
