I recognize and value the innate desire to be acknowledged, loved, and appreciated, and I believe this desire is hardwired at birth and increases as we experience life. As a clinician it is essential to me that I provide a safe space to achieve these desires with compassion, support, and encouragement. My goal as a therapist is to assist clients with discovering their ability to overcome in the face of adverse times, no matter the age or stage of life.
My experience includes working with individuals, families, couples, and group therapy settings. I have training in (CBFT) cognitive-behavioral family-focused therapy. I assist with leading group therapy in (DBT) dialectical behavioral therapy, group therapy for betrayal trauma, helping clients learn mindfulness skills and build practical interpersonal skills. I currently work with families, individuals, and adolescents both in private practice and in post-adjudication residential treatment to help them prepare for re-entry into the community. Additionally, I am studying the field of sex/love addiction, compulsive behavior, and betrayal trauma. I have experience navigating sex/love addiction, trauma, infidelity, betrayal trauma, chronic anxiety and depression, self-esteem/self-worth issues, relationship problems, and areas relating to life transitions such as premarital counseling, blending families, divorce, re-partnering, maternal health, and parenthood. When you’re ready to take the next step, I’m just a call or text away.
I was born in Florida but raised in Louisiana. Therefore, my roots are southern. I love to cook, spend time with my family, and laugh aloud. Fun fact about me – I am a trained prima ballerina and love classical music
